General Information
Lovka Rivka is located at the frontier of the ancient territories of Ukraine and Belarus, where the settled world retreats before the expanse of the great northern forests. With a population approaching 750, it is the largest settlement within the Belarusian territories and the second largest in the entirety of northern Ukraine. While it is small in comparison to the sprawling cities of the south and the west, it is a great deal more than just a village. Being a river town, it is a refuge. Local legend has it that it is the last bright lantern before the frigid expanse of the northern and eastern wilderness.
Lovka Rivka is located on a sacred island, where the Great Mother is believed to providing protection. In the middle of the island is a temple, which is built around a sacred spring, the source of the river that sustains the settlement. This means that, in addition to being a trading hub, Lovka Rivka is also a center of civic and religious life. The residents of Lovka Rivka are careful and wise like the river. They are protective of their peace, and while they may be reserved, they do open up to the right kind of trader and merchant.
Lovka Rivka is famous in the northern part of the river country for its bread, beer, and tools. The northern river country is fed from the ovens of Lovka Rivka. The casks brewed in its breweries travel deep into the waterways. The tools crafted by its smiths serve people of the region with the field, the forest, and the river. It is for these reasons that Lovka Rivka has earned its title: "the Breadmill of the North".
The harbor has attracted many traders from different lands. Their merchandise and news report helped to build the market. All directions of the compass converge in this outlet, including the East, West, South, and North.
